Brush Strokes 'n Stitches Prim Dual Pin-Keep This prim pin-keep has a dual purpose! First, it is a pin-keep on the top. Then underneath, there is a small brown jar that you can open to store more pins or buttons or whatever you wish! This pin-keep is made of homespun in a striped red and natural pattern. I have stained the material with a coffee, cinnamon, and vanilla mixture, then baked it in. On the center of the pin-keep, I have painted a saltbox house scene on muslin. The homespun and muslin were layered, then I carefully cut out a piece of the homespun so that the painting would be visible. The pin-keep is stuffed with fine steel wool to keep your pins nicely sharp and clean. I have tied some stained cheesecloth into a bow and pinned it on using a rusty safety pin. This is my own creation that I am very proud of. I had such fun making this and will be doing more in the future. Since I do not like to mass produce, the next one will not have the same painting on it! Thank you for looking at my auction.
