  • 80-400mm focal length provides a high-powered 5x zoom ratio; rotating zoom ring
  • 3 ED glass elements for high resolution and contrast, even at maximum apertures, and a 9-bladed diaphragm
  • Vibration Reduction (VR) operation is equivalent to using a shutter speed 3 f-stops faster, producing sharper low-light and slow-shutter images
  • 2 VR modes available, for both the viewfinder and image plane or the image plane only; each mode increases viewing comfort, while the second mode also conserves battery power; VR operates in both horizontal and vertical positions, and can be canceled
  • Auto panning detection, so panning is automatically detected and compensated by the VR system
  • Innovative AF features, including a built-in A/M switch to instantly swap between auto and manual focus, a focus range limiter and a stable filter that does not rotate during focusing or zooming; focus lock mechanism
  • Lens construction: 17 elements in 11 groups (3 ED glass elements)
  • Maximum aperture: f/4.5 - f/5.6; aperture scale: f/4.5 - f/32
  • Picture angle: 30° 10' - 6° 10'
  • Focus distance: 7.5' - infinity
  • 77mm attachment size; compatible with TC-14A and TC-201 teleconverters (sold separately)
  • Includes detachable tripod mount, lens hood and lens case
